EMRYS GRANTED UNITED STATES PATENT APPROVAL FOR TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION WITHIN VISIONS PRODUCT SUITE
Richardson, TX - April 23, 2002 - Emrys® Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of technology for rapidly building and deploying next-generation, Internet-based applications to solve today's complex business challenges, announced that it had received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a patent application covering its proprietary distributed computing event management techniques. Patent Number US 6,377,973 B2 was issued to Emrys Technologies, LTD. on Tuesday, April 23, 2002.
"Distributed and mobile computing is a difficult undertaking for organizations," said Larry Latham, chief information officer for Producers Lloyds Insurance Company, an Emrys customer. "We selected technology from Emrys, specifically VisionsTM 3.1, because no other alternative had this capability - rapid application development, powerful deployment capabilities, unmatched performance, and end-to-end security."
The Emrys Visions product suite utilizes a very small client side control that very effective manages
the flow of complex graphical user interfaces from a centralized application server. It can
be deployed inside a web browser, or as a stand alone application. Utilizing the Emrys patented technology,
this client control gives users a rich desktop experience, regardless of how they connect to the application.
